“[Placeholder] Anna was warm and professional from the very first session. The integrative approach really helped me make sense of patterns I had been stuck in for years.”

Founder · Clinical Psychologist
Anna Fernandes Lucas
I grew up in Portugal, where I completed my training in Health Psychology, followed by postgraduate specialisation in Psychological Consultation, Psychotherapy and Neuropsychology — and advanced training in Schema Therapy and EMDR.
After several years of work in mental-health and psychosocial settings, I moved to Munich more than a decade ago and rebuilt my clinical practice here. I work with adults and families to reduce psychological distress, support personal development, and promote sustainable, long-term change. My work is particularly attuned to the challenges of living abroad and adapting to a new cultural context.
With more than 20 years of professional experience, my clinical work is supported by regular supervision and continuous professional development.

Approach
An integrative, scientifically grounded approach.
Therapy is tailored to your unique needs. I combine Schema Therapy to uncover deep-rooted emotional patterns, Emotion-Focused techniques to enhance emotional awareness and processing, and EMDR to help process trauma and distressing experiences.
Therapy begins with a comprehensive psychological evaluation to explore your emotional patterns, beliefs and past experiences. This helps identify the root causes of distress and establish a personalised therapeutic path. In a supportive, non-judgmental environment we work together to recognise recurring patterns, develop emotional resilience, and strengthen the coping strategies that matter most to you.

FAQ
Questions you might have.
In which languages do you work?+
English, Portuguese and German. Sessions are in whichever language feels most natural to you — including switching between them when that helps.
Do you work online?+
Yes. I offer secure online sessions via Zoom for clients in Munich, across Germany, and internationally. Many clients combine in-person and online sessions.
How long does therapy take?+
It depends on what you are working on. Some clients see meaningful change in 8–12 sessions; others choose longer, depth-oriented work. We agree on a direction together after the initial evaluation.
Are sessions covered by insurance?+
Sessions are private. Statutory German health insurance does not reimburse private psychotherapy except in rare exceptional cases. Private insurance and supplementary plans may reimburse — terms vary by contract.
