Emotion-Focused Therapy

A research-supported approach that helps you access, understand and transform emotional experience.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is a research-supported approach that views emotions as essential sources of meaning and information. Rather than suppress or analyse feelings from a distance, EFT helps you safely access, understand and transform them — particularly the emotions that have been avoided, criticised or stuck.

EFT is particularly useful for clients who feel emotionally numb or overwhelmed, struggle with self-criticism, or carry unresolved grief, shame or anger.
